THE VACILANDO

“If you ain’t living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.”

Vacilando is a Spanish term which refers to the act of wandering when the traveling experience itself is more important than the destination.

What strikes me the most about this word is the way it beautifully describes how our lives should be lived. It doesn’t matter what our destinations are, because our goal is not to reach the destination, but rather enjoy the road leading to it.

And if we divert from that road from time to time, well, that’s just part of the fun. It’s all about what we can experience before the journey ends. There’s no point in restricting ourselves to any one thing. And if you believe that, then this blog might be something you should consider reading.

Don’t get me wrong. This blog isn’t about travelling. It’s not about roads. It’s not about different destinations. It’s about everything.

Unlike most of the blogs these days which restrict themselves to a particular theme, this blog will be as diverse as possible. If you enjoy diversity, if you like a little bit of everything out there, then this is the place for you. I’ll discuss all the topics there could possible be, or at least try to do so. So when you’re bored with the depressing monotone around you, scroll through the posts of my blog, and maybe find a bit of something hidden among my words that may appeal to you.

  4. I really liked this post. I like how you reiterated the old saying, “It’s not about the destination, but about the journey” in a very unique and easy to understand way. Great Job and God Bless.
